Mr. Matsumoto’s work, which uses the camera obscura to express interior space with an innovative technique, was highly praised by designers and artists from all over the world. He received several inquiries from art galleries that wanted to handle his work, as well as some offers to exhibit it at art festivals. In reflection of his wishes, it will be donated to Reggio Children, a large children’s facility in Reggio Emilia, northern Italy, and exhibited there permanently. Reggio Emilia is famous for its “Reggio Emilia approach,” which focuses on and allocates a large amount of the city budget to early childhood education.
