Yes, although curing may be slower on passive metals such as stainless steel, zinc-plated or aluminium surfaces. In these situations, using an anaerobic activator can significantly reduce curing time and improve bond performance.

05. Are anaerobic adhesives resistant to vibration and chemicals?

Yes. Once fully cured, anaerobic adhesives provide excellent resistance to vibration, oils, fuels, many industrial chemicals and temperature variations. They also help protect threaded assemblies against corrosion by sealing out moisture and contaminants.

06. How long do anaerobic adhesives take to cure?

Handling strength is typically achieved within minutes to a few hours depending on the product, substrate and temperature. Full cure generally occurs within 24 hours. Fast-curing grades are also available for higher production efficiency.

07. Can I remove parts bonded with anaerobic adhesives?

Yes. Assemblies secured with low- and medium-strength products can usually be dismantled using standard hand tools. High-strength grades may require localized heating or specialised tools to facilitate removal.
